The Palo Alto City Council voted to allow RV dwellers to park on two edges of the city, rejecting a more restrictive proposal for business and residential areas. Permits will be available on Coyote Hill Road and Embarcadero Road, but they will cover less than half of the city's 130 RV dwellers. The council also declined to limit parking on 22 of the most affected blocks. Residents expressed frustration over the lack of action, with some considering a citizen's initiative to ban RVs citywide. The permit program includes insurance requirements, a good neighbor agreement, and a $15 monthly fee.
