Palo Alto City Council voted 6-1 on 19 October to expand the ban on RV parking in residential neighbourhoods. The ban applies from 8pm to 8am within 100 feet of any home, regardless of zoning. Signs will be installed at 50 city entrances for $140,000. Two streets at the city edges where RVs are permitted have space for less than half of the city's 130 RV dwellers. Councilman Ed Lauing voted against, seeking a map of affected areas and discussion of a ban beyond 100 feet.
