BOVAG reports that when calculating repair costs for caravans and campers via FiCS Online and Dispatch, a standard repair time is automatically generated. Repair shops spend significant time sourcing and ordering parts. If the actual time differs from the standard, BOVAG recommends submitting a Procar report. Woman falls ill in caravan in Nieuw-Lekkerland, emergency services respond
On the evening of July 26, 2026, a woman fell ill in a caravan on Veenweideweg in Nieuw-Lekkerland. Police, ambulance, and a trauma helicopter were dispatched, along with local volunteer responders. Care home residents in Aalten hold mini Zwarte Cross festival on site
In Aalten, Netherlands, a group of friends from Bredevoort lent their caravan to residents of the Estinea care home so they could experience the Zwarte Cross festival atmosphere without leaving the premises. The event took place on a lawn in front of the building and included a barbecue, music, and overnight stays in the caravan or a tent. According to organizers, residents with intellectual disabilities and complex care needs could not attend the festival themselves, so they decided to bring the festival to them. The caravan was borrowed for the weekend, and participants reportedly enjoyed themselves greatly despite little sleep.
New railway bridge in Molenhoek too narrow for caravans
Within a week and a half of opening, two caravans got stuck on the new viaduct in Molenhoek. Local politicians question the safety of the design.

Wildfire damage to caravans and campers: will you get compensation?
Due to large wildfires in Southern Europe, which have led to the evacuation of about 200,000 people, owners of caravans and campers may receive compensation for damage only if they have the appropriate insurance. Caravan damage is covered by a caravan insurance policy if taken out; for a camper, mandatory insurance covers damage depending on the policy. Tents are usually covered under the baggage section of travel insurance. Evacuation and alternative accommodation are covered by travel insurance, but voluntary early return is not reimbursed.
