A new generation of lightweight roof tents weighing from 12 to 38 kg is expanding the market, making them usable on small cars and electric vehicles. The test included the TentBox GO, Groenberg WEEKEND COMFORT, and OLC Adventure Ultra Light 130 models.
Traditional aluminium roof tents weigh around 75 kg and cost from €2500, making installation and storage difficult. Lightweight models address these issues with innovative designs such as inflatable elements and aluminium exoskeletons, starting at €1300.
