Home in the Bed: Camper Module on a 2014 Toyota Hilux

German company Tisher has introduced a living module for the Toyota Hilux pickup, converting it into a compact motorhome for off-road travel. The module, measuring 4.3 m in length and 2.6 m in height, mounts on the cargo bed and includes a bathroom, kitchen, and sleeping areas. The solution is also compatible with Volkswagen Amarok and Ford Ranger, with sales starting in Europe.

Japanese company Direct Cars has developed the BR75 SUV Adventure Camper, an adventure motorhome based on the previous generation Toyota Hilux GR Sport pickup. The vehicle features off-road upgrades, while the compact living module includes a kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, and a lounge that converts into a double bed. Power is supplied by a 200 Ah battery and a 200-watt solar panel. Sales of such vehicles in Japan will end with the discontinuation of the previous Hilux generation by the end of 2026.
