Authorities in Wonju (South Korea) have announced the construction and renovation of parking areas for caravans and motorhomes. The move follows complaints from residents about vehicles occupying public and roadside parking for extended periods, causing inconvenience and visual blight.
A new lot in Musil-dong will have 80 spaces, equipped with cameras and barriers. An existing lot in Munmak-eup (alternatively spelled Manmak-eup) will be expanded to 40 spaces, with renovations completed by May, and will be reserved for local residents. After the work is finished, access for large vehicles to some public parking lots will be restricted.
