The Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education announced plans to convert 17 closed schools into campsites, cultural centers, and other public spaces. Of the 732 closed schools in the province, 495 are already in use, including 67 as campsites, 65 as cultural centers, 48 as sports facilities, and 45 as parks. The new project will create four types of facilities: campsites, cultural centers, sports facilities, and parks, involving local communities and private operators.
