The Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education (South Korea) announced the operation of four auto-campgrounds created from closed schools: Pohang Sannuri, Gimcheon, Yeongdeok, and Yeongju Sobaek Mountain. The campgrounds offer a total of 67 campsites, equipped with showers, toilets, and dishwashing stations. The fee is 20,000 won per site, including electricity and water. As of March 2025, out of 732 closed schools in the region, 495 have been sold, 179 are in use or leased, and 58 remain unused.
