Residents vote for improvements to caravan park despite fee increase

The majority of residents at Riverview Country Park in Mundole, Forres, voted for infrastructure improvements with an additional £20-a-month fee. Of 132 eligible homes, 48 voted against — fewer than the 67 written objections required to block the measure. The improvement programme, estimated at over £750,000, includes road resurfacing, lighting, drainage, a pedestrian walkway and a play area; owner Thomas Small will cover at least half the cost. Works are scheduled for completion by April.
