Wasco County commissioners approved nearly $885,000 in matching funds for a $1 million state grant and authorized contract negotiations for the Oak Ranch RV Park. The 154-acre site west of The Dalles near Interstate 84 Exit 82 will include 48 full-hookup RV spaces, tent camping, an ADA-accessible restroom and shower facility, and dark-sky-compliant lighting. Revenue projections estimate $101,000 to $160,000 annually starting fiscal year 2028, based on a $55 nightly rate and 40% occupancy.
