Wasco County commissioners approved nearly $885,000 in matching funds for a $1 million state grant and authorized contract negotiations for the Oak Ranch RV Park. The 154-acre site west of The Dalles near Interstate 84 Exit 82 will include 48 full-hookup RV spaces, tent camping, an ADA-accessible restroom and shower, and dark-sky-compliant lighting. The project is estimated to generate between $101,000 and $160,000 in annual revenue starting fiscal year 2028, based on a $55 nightly rate and 40% occupancy.
