Handmade art installations set up at Hakusan Yoshino Auto Campground

NTT Landscape, a subsidiary of NTT East Group, will open a trailer hotel 'LsHotel Mukawa' in Mukawa, Hokkaido, on July 1. Five trailers are installed on the grounds of the 'Mukawa Onsen Shiki no Yakata' complex. The hotel is unmanned: check-in is done via a tablet with facial recognition. The project is positioned as a pilot to accumulate know-how and later expand nationwide.

Lukura, a manufacturer and renter of travel trailers, donated one unit to Noto town in Ishikawa Prefecture through a corporate hometown tax donation program. The trailer has been placed at Yanagida Botanical Park to help address the shortage of accommodation after the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake. It sleeps 2–4 people and is designed for snowy conditions: a sloped roof, protected utilities, and a vestibule. Interior walls are painted plywood.

Square Glade Games has released patch 1.1 for the open-world camper van exploration game Outbound. The update introduces fishing mechanics, three craftable rods, 32 collectible fish species, four aquariums, new doors and stairs, and bug fixes.

22-year-old YouTuber Shomi Erina from Komaki, Aichi Prefecture, who travels across Japan in a camper van visiting farms, stayed in Tsurugi town, Tokushima Prefecture, from January 16 to 19. In the Keka settlement, she studied pesticide-free farming methods using local plants and fallen leaves, and engaged with the local community.

Recvee has unveiled the new 'Recvee Plus LIV’N Wide' camper van, built on the Nissan Caravan Wide Body. The model features a body width increased to 1880 mm and a new bunk bed layout option. The vehicle will be publicly shown and priced at the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026 on July 11–12.

Carstay, a Japanese platform for campervan rental and sharing, announced its participation in TOKYO DOG SHOW 2026, held June 26–28 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The company will display its SAny.VAN motorhome, designed with dog owners in mind. According to Carstay, about 80% of SAny.VAN buyers are dog owners. The vehicle features a modular interior with standard sofa bed, sink, and battery, with optional air conditioning and solar panels. Prices start at ¥2.42 million (approx. $16,000 USD) for a model built on a used or customer-supplied base vehicle, with delivery in as little as 1.5 months.
