Man rescued after tree falls on RV during storm near Taylor Ferry

A man was rescued after a tree fell on his RV trailer during severe storms at Gibson RV Park in the Taylor Ferry area, Oklahoma. The man, identified only as Oliver, took cover in the back of the trailer when the tree struck. Firefighters from the Taylor Ferry Fire Department used chainsaws to remove limbs and pried open the door to free him. Oliver was uninjured in the incident.

The EXT is built on the 2026 Ford Transit AWD chassis with an 11,000-pound GVWR and 178-inch wheelbase, increasing towing capacity, cargo space, and off-grid range. The interior is entirely wood-free, using PET structural foam core from recycled bottles, reducing weight by up to 50%. The all-electric energy system includes Victron NG lithium batteries, Victron Orion XS charging, and up to 1,200 watts of rooftop solar. Texas contractor accused of stealing over $112K from elderly RV park owner

Police arrested Loyed Clayton Yost, owner of Clayton Construction, for allegedly stealing more than $112,000 from a 67-year-old RV park owner in Bruceville-Eddy, Texas. According to an affidavit, the victim paid Yost $124,550 in February-March 2022 to add 30 RV spaces, roads, and utilities, but the work was never completed. Yost has prior theft charges related to construction work in McLennan and Burnet counties.

One Hospitalized After Tractor-Trailer, Camper Crash in Phelps

A tractor-trailer collided with a pickup truck towing a camper early Tuesday on State Route 14 in the Town of Phelps, sending one person to the hospital. According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Latavia Toussant of Shelburne, Vermont, was driving a 2025 GMC Sierra northbound while towing a 2019 Cherokee camper. A northbound 2020 Freightliner tractor-trailer operated by 54-year-old Christopher Hardy of Union Springs struck the camper from behind, then hit the pickup, sending both vehicles off the road into a field. Toussant was transported to Geneva General Hospital with neck pain; Hardy declined treatment. The cause of the crash could not be determined, and no tickets were issued.

Virginia: RV crash on Interstate 77 leaves one dead

Virginia State Police is investigating a fatal crash involving an RV reported Saturday on Interstate 77 in Carroll County. A 2005 Coachman Encore RV was traveling northbound when the driver lost control, ran off the road, and struck a guardrail. Passenger Gretchen H. Karcher, 70, of Versailles, Pa., was ejected and died at the scene; she was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver, Ronald J. Winkler, 73, of North Versailles, Pa., was uninjured; the crash remains under investigation.

Chanhassen RV crash injures 3, damages sound barrier wall

An RV crash in Chanhassen, Minnesota, on June 21 left three people injured and damaged a highway sound barrier wall. The 2000 SAMC 39 motorhome veered off westbound Highway 212 near County Road 101, went into a ditch, and broke through the wall before stopping. Three occupants from Tacoma, Washington — a 63-year-old man, a 46-year-old woman, and a 13-year-old boy — sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The man, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to hospital. Alcohol was ruled out as a factor; the cause remains under investigation.
