Pechar avoided legal issues by hitchhiking only in Western Australia, South Australia, and New South Wales, where hitchhiking is permitted.

Kiama Municipal Council has hired a specialist contractor to create a masterplan for Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park in Gerroa.
