The route is not recommended for beginners or families with children due to the difficult Duku road section; an alternative Qinghai-Gansu route is suggested for them. The estimated cost for four people is 12,000-16,000 yuan, RV rental is 800-1500 yuan per day. A C1 or C2 driver's license is required.
