The growing number of recreational vehicles (RVs) in China is reducing the customer base of traditional hotels during peak tourist seasons. China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism has announced support for RV consumption and the development of campsites, intensifying competition for hotels. In the first half of the year, 12,153 self-propelled RVs were registered, a 32.6% increase year-on-year. The total number of RVs in China is expected to reach 300,000 by the end of the year.
