This summer, Ctrip has seen a surge in bookings for an 8-day family RV tour in the Ili region of Xinjiang. The itinerary includes stops at Sayram Lake, Guozigou Valley, Kalajun and Qiongkushitai grasslands, and drives along the Yizhao and Duxiong highways. The program features eco-activities, workshops, and visits to Kazakh families.
Separately, a 7-day RV route through Qinghai-Gansu has been unveiled, starting and ending in Xining. The roughly 2200 km loop covers Qinghai Lake, Chaka Salt Lake, Jade Lake, deserts, canyons, Mogao Caves, Jiayuguan Pass, and Qilian Mountain pastures. Summer temperatures average 18–22°C. Recommended RV: Iveco 3.0T chassis (6 seats, 5 berths). Camping fees range from 50 to 150 yuan per night.
