Former BBC journalist Siobhan Daniels, 67, completed a solo motorhome journey through Alaska and Canada. She drove about 2,500 kilometers along the Alaska Highway in temperatures as low as -15°C. Daniels decided to make the trip after feeling 'invisible' due to her age and health issues. Along the way, she faced closed campsites and challenging road conditions, but also met locals and saw wildlife. She wrote a book, 'Retire and Refire,' based on the journey, which is due to be launched next month.
