Bought a motorhome – now they have played all the courses in Norway

On Wednesday morning, emergency services responded to a report of smoke in a motorhome in Levanger, in the Åsenfjord area. One person was inside, no injuries were reported. Traffic is blocked, and firefighters and police are on the scene.

Three companies in Tromsø — Touring Cars, Indie Campers, and Arctic Campers — plan to have around 150 vehicles on the roads this season. Touring Cars, established in Tromsø in 2022, reported revenue of NOK 36 million and operating profit of NOK 4.7 million. Arctic Campers noted a slight decline in advance bookings, attributing it to new market entrants and uncertainty around travel and fuel. The majority of renters are international tourists, many on their first motorhome trip.

Global rental operator Indie Campers is ramping up its presence in Tromsø ahead of the summer season in Northern Norway. The company stated it believes the local roads can accommodate the additional traffic.

Geir Storjordet (94.5) travels 720 km each summer in his motorhome from Trysil to Mosjøen to visit his family. The trip has become a tradition he maintains despite his age.

On Monday afternoon, a motorhome ran off the road in the municipality of Evje og Hornnes (Agder region), Norway. Police are investigating the circumstances.
