In the Eure department (Normandy), the farm La Chèvre Rit has been welcoming campers for free overnight stays without prior booking since 2020. In the 2025 season, 214 vehicles stayed, and in July 2026 alone, 70. According to another source, 187 vehicles have stopped since March 2026.
The owner, Séverine Delavoipierre, plans to install storage lockers to sell farm products outside opening hours. Visitors can buy cheese.
