South Korean companies are using camper vans as temporary shelters for workers during extreme heat. According to the Ministry of Labor, from May 15 to August 4, 2024, 2,441 people suffered from heat-related illnesses, with 625 (25.6%) occurring at construction sites. In response, companies are deploying camper vans equipped with air conditioning and rest areas to mitigate heat stress. The initiative is expected to expand.
