On Monday, May 18, 2026, the Cambodia-China caravan tour 'Mekong-Lancang River FAM-Trip Discovery' started in Phnom Penh, organized under the Cambodia-China Tourism Year. The convoy of nearly 20 vehicles left the Cambodian capital and will cross the border in Stung Treng province into Laos, then proceed to China's Yunnan province. Arrival is expected by the end of May.
Cambodia's Minister of Tourism Huot Hak stated that the tour aims to promote tourist attractions and cultural exchange among Lancang-Mekong countries.
