Vanessa Lourenço, 36, from São Paulo, became the first woman to travel alone by motorhome from the Americas to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, the northernmost point of the continent accessible by road. She arrived on the 10th after nearly two years on the road. She built the motorhome herself. She now plans to drive to Ushuaia in southern Argentina before returning to Brazil.
