During checks on motorways A30 and A31 in Emsland and Grafschaft Bentheim, police inspected 28 vehicles, including nine motorhomes, 14 caravans, two coaches and one heavy transporter. One heavy transporter was taken out of service due to being overloaded by more than 30%, missing a mandatory tachograph inspection, and exceeding permitted dimensions. A coach was found to have a working time of 16 hours 40 minutes and driving time of 15 hours 52 minutes, against a legal maximum of 10 hours. The checks were prompted by the start of school holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia.
