At the Stellantis stand (B12, hall 17), the Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer and Fiat Ducato will be displayed, along with the small models Ami Buggy and Tris Dolcevita. The Jumper features a 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 132 kW (180 hp) and an 8-speed automatic transmission, the Boxer a 2.2-litre diesel with 103 kW (140 hp) and the same transmission, and the Ducato a similar engine. The Ami Buggy is a recreational version of the electric Ami with a folding roof, while the Tris Dolcevita is a three-wheeled last-mile concept. The show runs from 28 August to 6 September 2026.

Author, musician and journalist Andreas Karl Köthe from Wabern is embarking on another camper reading tour. Using an old VW bus, a piano and garden chairs, he will visit 11 locations in the Schwalm-Eder region. The program includes readings from his new book 'Kopfguerilla', music and discussions. Admission is free.

On the A9 motorway near Greding, the roof hatch of a caravan broke off and struck a passing car. Police discovered that the 37-year-old Dutch driver did not hold the required licence category for the combination. The caravan was secured, and the driver now faces criminal proceedings for driving without a licence.

Motorhome tourists are increasingly choosing Völklingen for short breaks, drawn by the UNESCO World Heritage Site Völklingen Ironworks. According to the site operator, about 90% of guests visit the ironworks, while the rest are transit travelers. In 2024–2025, 1,491 overnight stays were recorded at 12 pitches near the ironworks between June and September, mostly for one or two nights.

At a citizen dialogue on July 16 in Freilassing, residents discussed potential motorhome parking sites. A proposal to create 5–8 spaces near the outdoor pool for €60,000–80,000 was criticized by one attendee, who suggested the Lobmayr parking lot instead. Mayor Markus Hiebl rejected that idea, citing a state subsidy that requires the lot to remain a Park-and-Ride facility for commuters. Other suggestions, including the Lokwelt site, were also dismissed.

According to a survey by Camping-Car Park, campsite bookings are becoming increasingly spontaneous and short-term. Holidays in motorhomes, tents or camper vans are becoming more flexible, both in route planning and pitch booking. Survey data show how campers plan their vacations and what demands they place on pitches.
