The Nevada County Board of Supervisors has postponed a vote on a proposed ordinance that would restrict the use of RVs and travel trailers for permanent residency on private land. The majority voted to revise the document.
According to one source, the ordinance would have allowed permanent RV living on parcels of 3 acres or more, but supervisors opted to amend it. Planned changes include adding a provision for temporary residency under "hardship" circumstances and exploring a pilot program.
A final decision is now expected in summer 2026.
