Overloaded motorhome fines in Europe: where strict, where lenient

The Florence Chamber of Commerce has adopted a standard contract for the sale of new motorhomes. The initiative, prompted by the National Camperists Coordination Association (A.N.C.C.), aims to ensure greater transparency and good faith in dealings between professional dealers and buyers. The contract includes a conciliation clause for the rapid resolution of disputes and received a positive opinion from the Market Regulation Commission.

The municipality of Unterhaching in Upper Bavaria is investigating a camp of motorhomes and caravans on a garden center's customer parking lot. Authorities are examining whether it constitutes illegal residence, as using the commercial area for camping is not permitted. The local council has requested an official statement from the parking lot owner.

The Deliberative Council of San Antonio Oeste has presented an ordinance to regulate the use of motorhomes on coastal beaches ahead of the 2025/26 summer season. The regulation establishes parking rules, prohibits the discharge of grey or black water, and introduces a fee for using public space. The executive branch is authorized to designate permitted parking areas and set up wastewater disposal points.
