In 2025, motorhome sales in China exceeded 20,000 units for the first time, and in the first half of 2026 more than 12,000 motorhomes were registered, up 32.6% year-on-year. The penetration rate of new energy motorhomes reached 18.4%. In September 2026, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and nine other departments issued nine measures to boost motorhome consumption, including improving campsite infrastructure. By the end of 2025, China had over 3,100 campsites; a campsite near Xixi Wetland Park in Hangzhou reported bookings exceeding expectations for the National Day holiday, with parking fees at 180 yuan per day.
