On 3 September, customs officers in Hendaye stopped a motorhome travelling from Spain to Germany and found 334.40 kg of cocaine and 485.20 kg of cannabis resin. A sniffer dog indicated the front of the vehicle, where a concealment space spanning the full height was discovered. The drugs have an estimated retail value of nearly 15 million euros. The driver was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court in Bayonne on 12 October.
