The VW Grand California, a motorhome based on the VW Crafter, has been found to emit volatile organic compounds such as benzene, styrene, formaldehyde, and xylenes from its GRP roof. Law firm Dr. Stoll & Sauer has filed a lawsuit against Volkswagen, seeking contract rescission and damages. Measured levels include benzene up to 159.1 µg/m³ (limit 4.5 µg/m³) and styrene up to 4,535.6 µg/m³ (limit 300 µg/m³).
