Amy Edwards, 40, a former hairdresser, pulled her five older children out of school during the pandemic and never sent them back. In July 2025, she and her husband Shane bought a motorhome and began traveling through Wales, France, and Portugal. The children follow a self-directed education: they indicate what they want to learn, and the parents guide them.
