Jürgen and Iris Ambrosius win preliminary round of 'Camper of the Year' in Embsen

14 participants competed in driving precision, accuracy, and teamwork at the ADAC driving safety center in Embsen on May 31, 2026. Winners Jürgen and Iris Ambrosius from Schwarzenbek advanced to the final at the Caravan-Salon in Düsseldorf in September. The main prize is a trip worth around €8,000. Aalen family battles cancer and homelessness, living in a dilapidated caravan

The Jani family from Aalen is facing a severe crisis due to illness and financial hardship. Tanja Jani has been diagnosed with metastatic cancer and given a prognosis of three months to live. After losing their home and lacking funds, the family now lives in a 30-year-old caravan with mold and a rotting floor. German manufacturer launches ultra-compact electric camper van based on city delivery van

German company Ari has introduced the 458 Pro, an electric camper van measuring 1.49 m wide and 3.8 m long, built on the chassis of a small delivery van. The base van starts at €16,500, while the camper version with a 230 km battery and camping package costs around €30,000. It is powered by a 15 kW (20 hp) electric motor with a top speed of 70 km/h. Interior height is 1.85 m, but the interior fit-out is entirely DIY.
