According to other sources, on the evening of August 17, a passenger vehicle and an RV with a trailer collided, injuring seven people, including a minor who was flown by helicopter to Idaho Falls. The pass was closed for six hours. The crash occurred near the same spot where a four-vehicle collision in July killed two people and injured six.
The group "Make Teton Pass Safer" is urging the Wyoming Department of Transportation to temporarily ban RVs and trailers on the pass and to lower the allowable truck weight. A meeting of officials to discuss safety measures is scheduled for this week.
