Late Saturday evening, a fire broke out in an RV on undeveloped land east of Redmond, Oregon, injuring one person. Firefighters arriving around 11 p.m. found the trailer fully engulfed in flames, which had spread to nearby piles of trash.
Crews included three fire engines, one ambulance, one battalion chief, and nine firefighters. The injured person was transported to a local hospital; an additional ambulance was dispatched for the transport. It took about two hours to put out the fire.
Because all county fire resources were committed to this incident, Redmond Fire and Rescue was unable to send the required number of responders to a separate high-priority call within the city.
