A 70-year-old California man was killed Monday when a heavy-duty truck struck his motorhome on the shoulder of Interstate 135 near Salina, Kansas. Michael David Shreiber of Lake Elsinore had pulled his Freightliner motorhome onto the right shoulder to use the restroom. A Mack Granite truck driven by 34-year-old Eric Dalton Shrick of Valley Falls, Kansas, left the road and hit the RV. Shreiber died in the crash. No other injuries were reported, including to Shrick and a passenger in each vehicle. The crash occurred at 9:17 a.m. on I-135 south of Salina, 0.3 miles south of Smolan Road.
