Gov. Ron DeSantis announced a partnership with EmergencyRV to provide temporary housing for Floridians displaced by Hurricane Isaias. The program will prioritize residents whose homes sustained the most significant damage, allowing them to stay on their properties while repairs are made. Eligible residents can submit a form at emergencyrv.org; eligibility criteria will be published soon. The state will supply usable travel trailers retained from previous storms and may seek additional units. The announcement followed Florida’s request to the Trump administration for a major disaster declaration, seeking public assistance for 15 counties and individual assistance for eight: Bay, Escambia, Gulf, Holmes, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton and Washington.
