Friends of Willamette Cascades Watersheds, a nonprofit in Lane County, Oregon, cleans up illegally dumped vehicles and trash. Since 2023, volunteers have completed 141 cleanups, removing 507,870 pounds of trash. The organization disposes of an RV for about $1,012 on average, compared to the county's average of $3,905 per RV. High costs and strict regulations often lead to vehicle abandonment in local forests.
