Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters responded to a blaze on Cottrill Gardens in Hackney Central on Sunday evening. The fire engulfed a static caravan, two scrap cars, and a 25-metre grass embankment along a train line near Hackney Central station. The station was closed for several hours, and London Underground lines were disrupted. No injuries were reported; the cause is under investigation.
