Five caravans with accompanying vehicles and dogs arrived overnight in Bertie Park, Oxford, on Tuesday. A local resident reported the group set up barbecues on dry grass and let dogs run free. Thames Valley Police visited the suspected unauthorised encampment on Wednesday evening and engaged with the campers. Oxford City Council and the police have been approached for comment.
