Nissan and German camper specialist Eifelland have unveiled the Interstar-e Relax, an electric camper based on the Interstar-e van. The vehicle will debut at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf later this month. It features an 87 kWh battery providing a WLTP range of up to 255 miles (410 km) and a 141 hp (105 kW) electric motor. Thanks to vehicle-to-load functionality, the standard Truma Eezy parking heater can draw power directly from the high-voltage battery, eliminating the need for a grid connection. Inside, there is a fixed bed measuring 1.90 x 1.60 m, a 90-liter refrigerator, an induction cooktop, a sink, and a portable toilet. The price is €89,900 ($102,000).

The East Frisian motorhome club in Leer is celebrating its anniversary. Bicycles, buffets and fixed meeting points have characterized the club for many years. However, joint trips are no longer what they used to be.

Two people were injured on Saturday at around 4:30 p.m. in an accident on the A99 motorway towards Stuttgart. A traffic jam had formed shortly after the Haar junction. The 28-year-old driver of a minibus had to brake, and the 48-year-old driver of the motorhome behind her also reacted. However, the 38-year-old driver of an airport shuttle bus carrying 15 passengers failed to stop in time, rear-ending the motorhome and pushing it into the minibus. The minibus driver and the bus driver, an Austrian national, sustained minor injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals. The hard shoulder, part of the Haar junction entrance, and one lane were closed for about an hour and a half. A procedure for negligent bodily harm was initiated against the bus driver.

On Saturday, August 1, on the B299 near Berching, a 46-year-old motorhome driver, having mistakenly entered the left-turn lane at the NM 3 intersection, reversed to change lanes and overlooked two motorcyclists behind. A 53-year-old rider on a Yamaha fell, while a 64-year-old on a BMW avoided a fall. No injuries were reported; damage is estimated at 1,500 euros.

Inside, it offers a double bed, a kitchen with an induction hob and a 90-liter fridge, and a Truma Eezy climate system powered by the traction battery. Prices start at €89,900. The world premiere will take place at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf.

German manufacturer Vario Mobil has unveiled the luxury Vario Perfect 1200 QS Platinum motorhome based on a three-axle Mercedes Actros 2553 LLL truck chassis. The 12-meter-long, 26-tonne model is powered by a 12.8-liter 530-hp turbodiesel and features air suspension and rear-wheel steering. The interior spans 35 square meters and includes leather, walnut wood, and tile finishes. The motorhome has slide-out sections, a garage for a car, a kitchen with an induction hob, a bathroom with a shower, satellite internet, and a Bose sound system. Prices start at €2.2 million.
