Two road accidents involving campervans occurred in France. On June 28, 2026, on the RD85 road in Esvres-sur-Indre (Indre-et-Loire), a car collided head-on with a campervan. The car driver, aged 27, with multiple fractures, was taken to Trousseau hospital in Chambray-lès-Tours. A female passenger from the campervan was sent to Alliance clinic in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire for examination. Alcohol and drug tests for the campervan driver were negative; tests for the car driver will be conducted at the hospital. The gendarmerie of Montbazon is investigating.
On June 26, 2026, around 5 p.m., in the commune of Bouin (Vendée), near La Caserne-de-la-Frette, a head-on collision occurred between a car and a campervan. Five people sustained minor injuries. Nineteen firefighters arrived; the injured were taken to Challans hospital and the departmental hospital (according to other sources, to La Roche-sur-Yon and Challans hospitals).
