Driver dies after caravan overturns on A40 near Oxford

Essex Police have released dashcam video of a pursuit involving a stolen motorhome in Aveley. Ricky Halford, 43, pleaded guilty to theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to provide a specimen, and driving without insurance at Southend-on-Sea Magistrates' Court.

Swift Group has unveiled the updated Monza 2026, based on the Ford Transit Custom. The motorhome features a pop-up roof with a double bed, a kitchen unit with a 42-liter fridge and a two-burner Dometic hob, and a portable toilet. Standard equipment includes a 240W solar panel, a 95Ah auxiliary battery, a 2.2kW diesel heater, and a 40-liter fresh water tank. It is powered by a 170 hp 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Pricing in the UK starts at £75,490 (approximately $101,000). Official sales in the US are not planned.

David Warren from the Midlands drove 1,100 miles across four countries in a camper van he built from a Fiat Doblo bought at auction for £925. The 72-hour trip included a lap of the Nürburgring racetrack in Germany. Warren has raised over £6,000 for the NSPCC, aiming to reach £10,000.

The inspector also partially awarded costs against Griggs. The New Forest National Park Authority stated his actions caused unnecessary time and expense.
