On the morning of July 29, a single-vehicle crash occurred on the Princes Highway involving a Holden Colorado towing a caravan. According to police, the 70-year-old male driver broke through the railing of a bridge over Jeremadra Creek and went off the bridge. The car was left hanging over the bridge while the caravan remained on the road.
The driver managed to get out of the vehicle by himself and was taken to Moruya Hospital in a stable condition. Police believe only one vehicle was involved and the driver was the sole occupant.
As of 10 a.m., traffic on the Princes Highway is affected: some sources report a contraflow system, while others say the highway is closed in both directions with a detour in place. The crash occurred between Moruya and Batemans Bay, south of Mogo.
