26 motorhomes attend first rally on Hitra

The Caravan Xpo exhibition opens Thursday at 10:00 and runs until Sunday, daily from 10:00 to 18:00, closing at 16:00 on the final day. Admission is 250 Norwegian kroner, with a 25% discount when booking online using the code “bobilverden”. The show campsite has been expanded by about 100 pitches; the Concorde and Morelo clubs have announced that 30 members each will attend. The event includes lectures, entertainment, and on Saturday a children's show with Paw Patrol, plus the launch of the children's book “Bobil i verdensrommet”.

A motorhome overturned on the E16 near Øyane in Voss on Tuesday at 18:26. The driver, a man in his 30s, was overtaking when he lost control; the motorhome hit the guardrail and rolled over. Two people were in the vehicle, both got out on their own. No other vehicles were involved. The driver's licence was confiscated. By 20:19 the motorhome had been recovered and the road was open to traffic.

In Steinkjer (Norway), another motorhome theft occurred. On September 10, local publication Trønder-Avisa reported the theft of a motorhome in the city center.

On Sunday, a caravan was blown over by wind at a campsite in Andenes, Norway. No one was inside at the time. The caravan was completely destroyed, and debris struck a nearby motorhome, breaking a window and damaging a wall. No injuries were reported, according to a representative of Hvalsafari AS.

A car hit a guardrail and overturned on the E6 in Djupvik, Kåfjord municipality. Police and fire services responded. One person was in the vehicle; no injuries have been reported. One lane is closed, with a detour via Spåkenes available if both lanes are shut.

Seven motorhomes occupied spaces at the Jar metro station commuter car park in Bærum on Friday morning. The car park has nearly 200 spaces and allows free parking for up to 24 hours. Morten Skauge of the Conservative Party said the motorhomes take capacity from commuters and called for a possible parking ban for motorhomes and campervans. He said the municipal director, Rasmus Myklebust, promised to present possible measures, but no proposals have been received since August 2025. Earlier this summer, about 30 foreign motorhomes were parked at the site at the same time.
