From 12 to 14 June 2026, the fifth Breizh vanlife festival was held in Saint-Malo (Aleth / Cité d'Aleth campsite). The event gathered several hundred converted vehicles, featuring conferences, a trade fair, a craft market and concerts. Admission is free, registration required. Only converted vans are allowed on site; motorhome owners are directed to nearby parking with a free shuttle. Organisers emphasise that anyone can build their own camper, regardless of DIY skills.
In April 2026, the fourth Vanlife Expo in Rennes attracted between 10,000 and 12,000 visitors over two days (11–12 April), a 16% increase year-on-year. The 5,000 m² hall hosted 141 exhibitors: campers, SUVs and expedition trucks. New camper sales in France from February 2025 to February 2026 reached 15,689 units (compared to 9,231 in 2019). Prices for a standard new camper range from 40,000 to 70,000 euros.
The next Vanlife Expo is scheduled in Bordeaux on 14–15 November 2026 (expected 10,000 visitors), and in Rennes in April 2027 (the previous Rennes edition had 11,980 visitors). The show also takes place in Grenoble. France has 600,000 registered leisure vehicles, making it the second-largest market in Europe after Germany.
