Latvian Puna Vanlife unveils camper with unusual family layout

Latvian company Puna Vanlife has unveiled a camper based on the MAN TGE that omits sliding doors and the passenger seat, replacing them with a staircase. The rear seats accommodate four passengers with Isofix anchors. The vehicle offers four sleeping places, including a child-sized berth in the cab, and a separate bathroom with toilet and shower. It features a 47-liter fresh water tank, a 100-liter waste water tank, a water heater, and a 400 Ah battery bank with solar panels. The price is available on request.

Latvian conversion company Puna Vanlife has unveiled a campervan based on a van about 6 meters long (MAN TGE or Volkswagen Crafter) with a flexible interior layout for family travel. Instead of a side sliding door and front passenger seat, access is via the left cab door, and the roof opens to enhance space. Inside, modular furniture provides sleeping for four, including a hanging bed for children that installs in 7 minutes, two ISOFIX-equipped seats that convert into a 190×178 cm bed, a separate bathroom with portable toilet, sink, and shower, and a compact kitchen with a pull-out table, 42-liter fridge, and microwave.

Latvian architect Aigars Lauzis has introduced the BeTriton (Z-Triton 2.0), a three-wheeled electric bicycle that transforms into a boat and a mini-camper. In bike mode, top speed is 25 km/h, range up to 100 km (150 km with extra battery). On water, a 1150 W motor gives 8 km/h and 20-25 km range. The camper has a double bed (2 m × 94 cm), LED lighting, USB ports, and 100 W solar panels. Base price is €14,500 (approx. RUB 1.2 million); a DIY kit costs €4,500 (RUB 380,000). Production is in Latvia, with delivery to European countries.

Latvian startup BeTRITON unveiled an amphibious electric trike that functions as a bike, boat, and micro-camper. The Full model weighs 210 kg, reaches 25 km/h on land and 8 km/h on water, with a range of 150 km. The sleeping area measures 0.95×2.1 m, suitable for one person, and the 1.45 m width poses challenges on narrow bike paths.

Latvian entrepreneur Aigars Lauzis has unveiled the BeTriton 3.0 concept — a modular electric vehicle that transforms into a tricycle, boat and motorhome. On the road, a 250 W electric motor powers it to 25 km/h with a range of up to 150 km; on water, a separate 2,150 W motor provides speeds up to 8 km/h. In motorhome mode, it offers a fold-out sleeping area; optional solar panels allow recharging.

Stars of the Latvian reality show "Family in a Jar" are preparing for a trip around the Baltics in a camper. Uģis Kuģis decided to forbid his family from using the toilet in the vehicle to avoid having to clean the corresponding tank.
