The Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Zaghouan (according to other sources, the regional representation of the Ministry of Agriculture) has announced a ban on visits and camping in Jebel Zaghouan National Park from May 1 to October 31, 2026.
Only scientific visits authorized by the General Directorate of Forests and the Ecological Museum (in one source, the General Directorate of Forestry and the Ecological Museum) are exempt. The measure aims to protect fragile ecosystems and prevent forest fires during the summer.
Additionally, campfires are prohibited in forests and within 500 meters of forests and agricultural crops.
