Authorities in Tunisia plan to resume work on the development of a camping and leisure center on Mount Chaambi. The regional commission for public contracts in Kasserine has approved an amendment to the planned works. The project cost is 500,000 Tunisian dinars. The center is expected to be used by local youth and for exchange programs with other provinces.
The regional delegation for agricultural development in Zaghouan has banned visits and camping in Djebel Zaghouan National Park from May 1 to October 31, 2026. Only scientific visits approved by the General Directorate of Forests and the ecological museum are allowed during this period. The ban also prohibits camping and lighting fires in forest areas and within 500 meters of them. The measure aims to prevent wildfires during the high-risk season.

A couple from Saxony-Anhalt embarked on a journey through the Tunisian desert in a converted East German truck. The seven-ton vehicle from 1987 was transformed into a motorhome with a bunk bed and shower. The route includes a ferry crossing from Genoa to Tunis.
