North Yorkshire Council has made permanent an overnight parking ban for motorhomes and campervans in coastal areas after an 18-month trial. The restrictions, introduced in November 2024 due to safety concerns and anti-social behavior complaints, operate from 11pm to 7am in Scarborough and Sandsend. Over 3,000 responses were received in consultation, with approximately 60% of local residents supporting the measures.
