A journalist drove 3,000 km through Norway in an electric car with a roof tent and an espresso machine. The trip involved closed roads, a lack of charging points on a ferry, and bad weather, but highlighted Norway's well-developed EV infrastructure. Over 80% of new cars in Norway are electric, and charging stations are available even in remote fjord regions, though real-time availability data can be inaccurate.

The municipality of Halden, Norway, has decided to charge for motorhome parking at the popular free site Tyska. Previously, tourists flocked there due to no fees, but authorities now aim to limit the influx and cover maintenance costs. The measure takes effect shortly.

In Ankenes, Norway, a motorhome lost control and crashed into the wall of the ST1 gas station. Emergency services arrived at the scene; the station was cordoned off. A leak from the vehicle was reported, but no damage to the pumps occurred.

On 7 July 2026, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration conducted a traffic control at Brimnes ferry quay. A tour bus driver tried to evade the check and was reported for multiple driving‑time violations; he received nine warnings, three fines of NOK 1,000 each, and the company was charged three fees of NOK 2,000 each. A foreign motorhome was 500 kg over the legal weight limit and had to unload before continuing. In total, 162 heavy vehicles, 27 vans and 35 light vehicles were checked, resulting in two reports, five driving bans, and 11 other fees.

Thea Helen Lied (20) from Larvik has bought her own campervan, investing all her savings in it. She made the decision to do so at the age of 12.

Nils Henrik Brynildsen Henningstad has set off on a long journey with his family in a vehicle he converted into a motorhome himself. He acknowledges he is keeping his fingers crossed that everything goes well.
