Plumas County, California, officials are surveying parcels where people live in RVs after the 2021 Dixie Fire destroyed 362 homes. An emergency ordinance allowing long-term RV occupancy expired June 30, making it illegal again under county zoning and state health codes. As of July 7, 36 households were identified living in RVs.
